7 Amazing Things I Discovered at InfoComm 13

InfoComm 2013

Just days after our recent trip to InfoComm 13 in Orlando, Florida, I am still amazed at what I saw and experienced. The latest technology in digital signs, audio, video, display, projection, lighting, staging were all on exhibit in the massive Orlando Convention Center!

As leaders in the digital display and media world, GableVision strives to be at the forefront of keeping abreast of the latest and greatest in technology that we can incorporate in our solutions.  Through education, conferences, research and development we’re focused and dedicated to stay on top of this fast paced evolving industry.

In order to keep current with this fast changing and evolving world, we attended InfoComm 13.  The show brings tens of thousands of people from all over the world together to experience the latest technologies, educational workshops and best practice seminars.  Some things were ordinary and typical of what one might see but then again there are always some new surprises that you walk away thinking, “wow”.  With that said, here are the top 7 things that I found most intriguing…

1.High Resolution LED

A breathtaking 1.9mm resolution LED display manufactured by Leyard.

2. Flexible LED Curtains

I was amazed with the variety of flexible LED curtain products manufactured now available by multiple manufacturers.

3. No Bezel LCD screens

Traditional lines between LCD panels on video walls are much less noticeable with new no bezel LCD screens. This enables video walls to be created with almost no visible edges.

4. Projection

We saw a huge number of new projection technologies to meet the rapid demand.

5. Multi-touch

White boards and kiosks are becoming available with multi-touch capabilities.

6. LCD Protection

Protective housing for LCD monitors that protect and weatherproof LCD screens.

7. International Interest

There was an enormous amount of visitors and exhibitors from all over the world!

When we think of the unimaginable, it’s only a matter of time!
